The Braies Valley - one of the valleys in Val Pusteria - lies in the heart of the legendary Dolomite Mountains. Wild meadows and thick woods alternate in suggestive alpine environment, the home to numerous examples of characteristic species of mountain flora and fauna. At the centre of this natural wonderland stands the village of Braies, the ideal point of departure for the most enchanting long hikes and short strolls to the famous Lake of Braies, the Prato Piazza tablelands, or other renowned peaks in the Braies Dolomites Group for the passion of trekkers and mountaineers alike.                    Highlight: Dolomitisuperbike Set amidst a fairy-tale mountain landscape, the Lake of Braies is a paradise for romantic nature lovers and water sports fans with excellent Fishing and hunting possibilities for a constantly varied vacation. Also lovers of extreme sports such as mountain bikers, climbing aficionados and trekking fans will find an ideal terrain here where to practise their favourite activities. In winter, Braies is the ideal spot for snow. Cross-country skiers will find here in the Braies Valley more than 40 km of perfectly groomed slopes. Put on your skis right behind our house and conquer the slopes. The major sports highlights in the immediate vicinity are the Puster Valley Ski Marathon, the Gran Fondo Casies Valley, the Dobbiaco – Cortina Marathon as well as the Biathlon Championships in Anterselva (20 km). Downhill skiing is just as popular on excellently groomed runs, while sledding down the slopes on the famous "Kameriotwiesen" sledding run is another viable option. Comfortable ski-bus service provides quick transport to the other skier’s paradises of Monte Elmo and Plan de Corones nearby.
